Shokay is a sustainable textiles company with a passion for developing products using unconventional materials.

We began searching for sustainable fibers over a decade ago and discovered a diamond in the rough – yak, a natural fiber warmer than wool and more breathable than cashmere. This is where Shokay derives its name – it means yak down in Tibetan.

Founded in 2006 by Carol Chyau, Shokay is best known for having identified yak down as a luxury fiber. Since then, Shokay has expanded its yarn and fabric collections to include other sustainable materials.
